Welcome to the Oldham County Amateur Radio Club!
We are a community of radio enthusiasts dedicated to learning, public service, and the enjoyment of amateur (ham) radio. Whether you’re a newly licensed operator, an experienced ham, or simply curious about the hobby, our club offers a friendly and supportive environment to explore all aspects of radio communication.
Our members share a passion for advancing technical skills, building and experimenting with equipment, and staying connected locally and around the world. Through regular meetings, training sessions, and on-air activities, we promote education, cooperation, and the spirit of amateur radio.
A key part of our mission is public service. Our Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) group stands ready to provide reliable communications support during emergencies and community events when traditional systems may fail. We work closely with local agencies to ensure we can serve Oldham County when it matters most.
Join us to learn, connect, and serve—because amateur radio is more than a hobby, it’s a vital community resource.
